Descriptif du centre d'interprétation
Between the Val and Petite Beauce, in the heart of an area dotted with hamlets and crossed by the River Mauves, Huisseau appears from afar to be huddled around the high bell tower of its church and the turrets of its castle.
In the town square, you'll find the powerful 15th-century postern gate opening onto the castle forecourt, and right next door, the interesting remains of the former church of Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens, whose origins date back to the High Middle Ages. The 13th-century fortified tower, porch, columns and carved capitals remain from this sanctuary. The present church dates from the late 19th century. Six watermills can be seen along the green banks of the Mauves.Descriptif du parc et jardin
