Description

Description of heritage

  • Descriptif du centre d'interprétation
Beaugency Town Hall is home to a veritable treasure trove: eight embroidered hangings that bear unique witness to the Decorative Arts of the 17th century. The finesse and refinement of their designs, as well as the brilliance of their colours, have enabled them to be classified and protected.

Restored between 2009 and 2015, they depict allegories of continents and sacrifices, brought to life by exceptional craftsmanship.

To be discovered during the guided tour "Plongée dans le passé à Beaugency" from the Tourist Office.
