Saint-Laurent-des-Bois

Welcome to Saint-Laurent-des-Bois ! The town of Saint-Laurent-des-Bois is located some twenty kilometres to the north of Beaugency. Part of it is located on the outskirts of the Marchenoir forest, and the other larger part belongs to the Beauce agricultural area.

The inhabitants are called “Laurençaux”.

THE MARCHENOIR FOREST

This vast and ancient forest stretches over more than 5,000 hectares and comprises mainly oak trees. The Marchenoir forest spans 11 municipalities in the Loir-et-Cher department. Jules Caesar mentions it in “The Gallic Wars.”
