In addition to his work as a sketcher, Nicolas Ménard teaches observational drawing at prestigious venues such as the Louvre, Orsay, Versailles and Rome. Based in Beaugency, he offers drawing courses.

Drawing is approached in the form of sketches, allowing for a multiplicity of approaches. This course is ideal for painters, sculptors or novices who feel that a poor grasp of the basics of drawing is holding them back in the exercise of their art.

The monastery of the Ursuline Sisters of Beaugency is the anchor point for the course. You'll draw part of the time and have your meals there. Accommodation is available. The convent, occupied by the Ursulines since 1629, is ideally located in the medieval town of Beaugency.

Samedi matin : initiation à la perspective avec une nature morte sur le thème du XVIIe siècle.

Samedi après-midi : initiation à l’histoire de l’art avec une visite du centre historique de Beaugency. La perspective sera ensuite appliquée à l’architecture.

Dimanche matin : Le sujet est le paysage et la botanique. Il est possible de faire de l’aquarelle ou du crayon aquarelable.
