Designed in neo-Gothic style by the architect Benjamin Ricard, the church of Saint-Aignan de Baule was built in 1866 on the site of the former church, which was destroyed by fire in 1861. It was also bombed on 17 June 1940.
Saint-Aignan church features two stained glass windows, created in 1929 and 1932 by Ateliers Lorin of Chartres. It also contains a small gallery organ.
A commemorative monument "To Abbé Pasty and his companions in the Buckmaster group 55 A resistance network" has been erected in front of Saint-Aignan church.
