Hugging the banks of the Mauves River, the Ilex Arboretum is a veritable garden of freshness! A self-guided tour along the water's edge will lead you to discover a wide variety of plant species. The arboretum features 500 species - hybrids and cultivars - of holly, 130 varieties of astilbe, 250 clematis, 150 daylilies, 150 hostas and 80 maples, as well as botanical trees and shrubs.
