On the occasion of the national bicentenary of photography in 2026 - the very first image having been captured in 1826 - the town of Meung-sur-Loire is offering an exhibition that invites visitors to open the box of memories and observe the evolution of our territory through the lens. "Meung dans la boîte" (Meung in the box) offers a sensitive, well-documented photographic journey, contrasting period shots from around 1900 with contemporary ones. Street by street, facade by facade, landscapes and scenes of life interact, revealing urban, social and human transformations, but also the permanent features that underpin the soul of Meung.
