Exposition : Métiers d’autrefois en Meung
An immersion in the trades, commerce, industry and agriculture that Magdun was home to during the Belle Epoque.
This exhibition showcases the town?s varied and flourishing economic activities at the dawn of the 20th century, through its industries, shops and crafts, not forgetting agriculture and viticulture. Mills, tanneries, mechanical engineering workshops, gasworks for public lighting and chemical factories were all part and parcel of the industrial era at the beginning of the 20th century. Hatters, clog makers, innkeepers, cafe owners, tinsmiths? some 150 businesses were busy satisfying customers from the town and surrounding countryside.
