On Saturday May 17, the Conservatoire d'espaces naturels Centre-Val de Loire invites you to a nature walk on the Pelouse de Vau nature reserve in Tavers.

A former quarry that was later converted into an orchard, the site is essentially composed of dry grasslands on limestone slabs. A monument commemorating the 1870 war has stood here since 1894. Among the most notable plant species present are the Autumn Scilla, the Mont Baldo Buplèvre, and the Willow-leaved Helianthemum, which has Mediterranean affinities and is the only plant in the region. In terms of fauna, the Steppe Scale, a butterfly rare in northern France, is also found here.

Registration required before May 16 on 06 15 77 44 35. Meeting point to be announced on registration.
